WEDDINGS

INFORMATION
PLANNING

On your wedding day, you should be thinking about one thing; the love you have for each other.

You’ll want to relive the special day later on, but you don’t want to worry about the videography at that time.

In order for me to best serve you on that special day there are a few simple things that you will do, so I know how to make the best possible video - without you ever noticing I’m there shooting!

Firstly, we will figure out what video package you would like. I have three basic packages, all of which can be customized to your liking. Once you know exactly what you want, a contract specific to your video choice will be written up for you to go over and sign.

Once the contract has been completed, I will make you a copy. If you have any additional requests after signing the contract - you may contact me to work it out.

I will ask about where I will be allowed to set up my camera during the service. Different locations allow videographers in different spots. If I can find out where I will be before hand, I don’t have to lose time finding a spot on the big day.

I will call you a week prior to the wedding day just to verify everything is okay.

ON THE DAY

I will arrive 1 hour in advance to which ever location has been chosen as the first to be shot. If the choice is the brides house - I will arrive there early so I have time to set up my camera, and meet everyone before the day begins. If you’d like, you may choose a specific time for me to arrive - but I need at least 30 minutes to get ready.

Throughout the day, you can rest assure that I am doing my very best to get every important shot - and I will do it in a way that you don’t even notice. I have a wonderful ability to blend in with the guests, using unobtrusive techniques to always get the best shots, without getting in any persons way.

I will need to arrive at the service location 30-45 minutes early to set up my camera, and hopefully meet with the Priest, Pastor, Minister, Rabbi, or or whomever is presiding over the service.

During the ceremony, I will remain unintrusive, but you will usually find me on the dance-floor capturing all the moments you and your guests are sharing.

Chances are, if anyone wonders off to hang out outside or to go to the bar, I may not be able to capture them as much. I will remain where the majority of people are so I can capture the most people I possibly can.

Nearing the end of the night, I will go around interviewing guests if that feature was requested. I will also ask people to speak on camera as they leave.

At the end of the night, I will touch base with you, and find out if there is anything specific you still would like shot, or if you have any questions for me.

If all is well, I will take my tapes back to the edit station to being editing your wedding video!

POST PRODUCTION

The editing of a video takes between 3 and 4 weeks. I will not contact you until I am near completion of the video. However if you ever have any questions, I urge you to call me no matter how soon after the wedding day. The sooner I know your concern, the better chance I have of fixing it before I get too far in the video.

When I do contact you, it will most likely be to have you come in and check out the video. If you’d like - I can send a VHS tape of the video for you to review. The video will have a timecode bar at the bottom so if you have specific questions or comments, you can direct me to which point it is for a more quick and easy identification of the scene.

Other reasons I may call include asking for the spelling of certain things - though most spellings should hopefully have all been filled out on the contract.

Once you approve of the video, I will burn it to the requested amount of DVDs, and you will be able to pick them up!

I always keep one master copy of the video. So if you ever want more copies, I can make them for you. But I only keep the edited video on the computer for 2 weeks after our contract has been completed.

I also offer iPod video versions of your wedding video. These videos can play on your computer as well, but are designed to work with the aspect ratio of your iPod videos screen.

These videos do not come with any menus or special features - just the main video in its entirety which is given to you on a CD for you to copy to your computers hard drive, and then imported onto the iPod for playback anywhere! Think of it as a step up from showing of wallet photos.
